Pedro Pinto will talk about the perspectives within the sports culture as the way fans consume sports nowadays compared to the past. The role of design in the sports realm. The communication strategies, education, and training for athletes and teams and athletes as content creators. Designing a tailored experience at the stadium; Moreover, the role of the playfields as laboratories of spatial invention, and the stadium’s architecture as an accelerator for urban (re) development.⁣

Pedro Pinto
Pedro Pinto is a communications professional with more than 20 years’ experience in the sports industry as a journalist, broadcaster, and PR director. ⁣
⁣Pedro is currently the CEO of a sports communications agency called Empower Sports,  which he founded. The agency advises athletes, coaches, sports organizations and broadcasters on communications, PR and digital content. ⁣

From 2014 to 2018, he was Managing Director of Communications at UEFA, where he ran all communications activities at European Football’s governing body, overseeing all corporate messaging, the international press office and editorial content on all UEFA digital platforms. His duties also involved serving as an official spokesman for the organisation.⁣

Before his role at UEFA, Pedro worked as a journalist for nearly two decades, spending 15 years as a sports presenter and correspondent for CNN where he interviewed the world’s top athletes and created impactful original content. He also worked with the likes of BT Sport, SportTV and World Soccer Magazine.⁣

His network within the football and sports industries is second to none.
